 Philanthropy
Delmar believes strongly in giving back. It is always challenging to choose which causes and organizations to fund. It is incumbent on us all to do what we can for those who are less fortunate and to help make the world a safer cleaner place. In addition to funding, we also feel strongly that it is essential to give of oneself. For years we have done so, encouraging our management, their families, our associates, employees and executives in various ways ensuring them that Delmar supports their causes and will be there to see them through. In an effort to encourage others in this regard and to help promote those institutes and organizations, who we believe do an outstanding job helping to heal the planet and its inhabitants, we are pleased to provide but a brief listing and some links of our favorites. defines Philanthropy as: "...the act of donating money, goods, time or effort to support a charitable
cause, usually over an extended period of time and in regard to a defined objective. In a more
fundamental sense, philanthropy may encompass any altruistic activity which is intended to promote
good or improve human quality of life."
