Canada Applies Retaliatory Tariffs on US Steel and Aluminum – Effective March 13, 2025
In response to the US tariffs steel and aluminum imported into the US from Canada, the Canadian Government has implemented the United States Surtax Order (Steel and Aluminum 2025).
Effective March 13th, 2025, steel, aluminum and certain goods imported into Canada originating from the US are subject to a surtax in the amount of 25% of the value for duty in accordance with the United States Surtax Order (Steel and Aluminum 2025).
