CFIA - Transition Period for Nutrition Labelling Amendments Ends on December 14, 2023

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has published a notice to industry to remind regulated parties that the flexibility given to industry after the end of the transition period for the 2016 nutrition labelling amendments ends on December 14, 2023. 
 
As of December 15, 2023: 
• Regulated parties must comply with new labelling requirements 
• CFIA inspectors will follow the Standard Inspection Process to address non-compliance
