Reminder – 2026 CUSMA/USMCA/FTA Blanket Certificate of Origin Renewal
2026 CUSMA/USMCA/FTA Blanket Certificate of Origin Renewal
As 2025 comes to an end, Delmar International reminds importers to obtain 2026 CUSMA/USMCA/FTA Blanket Certificate of Origin for applicable products entering Canada, the US and Mexico to maintain free trade benefits, including duty-free status.
What You Need to Know
A CUSMA/USMCA/FTA certificate is considered a legal international trade document and should be validated and signed by an individual with the appropriate knowledge and authority. Importers typically renew blanket Free Trade Agreement certificates on a calendar year basis (January 1st, 2026 - December 31st, 2026).
Free Trade Agreements
• Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA)
• United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA)
• Other Free Trade Agreements (FTA)
