Service Interruption - Rail and Truck Services in Western Canada
To our valued customers,
CP is experiencing a track outage on the Cascade subdivision, north of Hope, BC. Per CP in its customer bulletin, CN is also experiencing an outage on the Yale subdivision, near Chilliwack, BC. Both outages are impacting mainline train operations in those areas.
Both rail companies have teams on site to inspect and repair tracks where needed. Currently, there is no time frame for service to resume in the affected areas.
We are also being informed by our western trucking subcontractors that due to multiple weather-related road issues (rockslides, mudslides, snow, ice, etc.) in BC and parts of Alberta, delays to all freight deliveries are to be expected until further notice. Currently, Highways 1, 3, 5 and 7 are closed leaving the BC Lower Mainland. Highways outside of Alberta are also affected.
Delmar will continue to monitor the situation and advise as events and solutions unfold.
