Western Canada Wildfires Impacts Rail Service

Please be advised that the rail service on CN’s mainline that runs through Jasper, AB, has been suspended due to the wildfires that have been sparked by lightning. 
 
The wildfire situation in Jasper is dynamic and fluid. As conditions worsened yesterday afternoon, CN suspended rail operations in coordination with the Unified Command Centre and remains engaged with all parties responding to this incident. CN will assess damage then estimate the timeline to restore operations in the impacted areas once they are permitted access.

Due to this unfortunate situation, we expect significant delays related to rail movements. Please note that in many cases, embargoes have been put in place due to safety concerns.
