CARM Launch Postponed to October 2024
Canadian Customs Modifies CARM Roll-Out to October 2024
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has announced on April 19, 2024, that the CBSA Assessment and Revenue Management (CARM) launch, previously scheduled for May 13, 2024, is now postponed to October 2024.
Though the CBSA is proceeding with their plan and rolling out CARM internally on May 13th, Trade Chain Partners (brokers, importers and carriers) are provided with extra time to ensure that their systems, procedural controls and accounting platforms are seamlessly integrated and fully operational prior to the go live date.
A Trade Chain Partner (TCP) call is scheduled for Wednesday, April 24th, 2024, where more information will be provided by the CBSA.
For the full CBSA notice, please read here.
It is imperative that all resident and non-resident Canadian importers ensure their business is ready for CARM by registering on the CARM Client Portal (CCP) without delay. If you have not yet registered, follow the step-by-step guide on Delmar’s dedicated CARM webpage.
Delmar will continue to monitor the situation and provide pertinent updates as they unfold.
For additional information and assistance, please contact your local Delmar Representative.
